Our Legacy

Founded on July 4, 1951 our school has been a pillar of learning for over seven decades. Established in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, by the esteemed Padma Bhushan Dr. RM. Alagappa Chettiar, a visionary philanthropist, industrialist, and educationist, the school was initially set up as a co-educational institution and served as a laboratory school for the prestigious Alagappa College of Education.

With a strong foundation in academic excellence, discipline, and holistic learning, the school has evolved over the years, shaping generations of students into responsible and successful individuals.

Milestones in Our Journey

• 1951: Inception as a secondary school under the vision of Dr. RM, Alagappa Chettiar.
• 1978: Elevated to a higher secondary school, officially recognized by the Government of Tamilnadu.
• 1988: Became an integral part of Alagappa University, marking a new chapter in academic leadership and progress.
• Present: Continuing a legacy of excellence, shaping future leaders with a balanced blend of academic values and co-curricular activities.
